We're looking for a passionate and skilled Lawyer to join our Legal & Tax team.

Given our complex structure with multiple subsidiaries and a foreign parent company, this role offers a unique opportunity to navigate an international legal and regulatory challenges.

Main assignments in the role:

• Serve as legal counsel for multiple business units within our international organization.
• Assist with drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of agreements and commercial documents, e.g., customer, partner, vendor, intra-group and third-party agreements.
• Assist with recordkeeping, drafting and reviewing corporate documents for our international organization.
• Assist with organizing the company's Intellectual Property portfolio, including trademarks, patents, and trade secrets.
• Advise on tax-related matters, working closely with our accounting team.
• Communicate with and respond to inquiries from local and foreign authorities, regulatory agencies, customers, and other relevant parties.
• Monitor and review government regulations and assisting with the development and compliance thereof.
• Participate in the definition and development of corporate policies, procedures, and programs, e.g. applicable data protection policies.
• Provide ad-hoc legal support to the international organization.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in law.
• 3-5 years’ experience from an in-house or similar role.
• Good knowledge and understanding of corporate, commercial and tax law, with an ability to manage diverse legal matters.
• High degree of professional ethics, integrity and sound judgement.
• Proficient in adapting to and becoming familiar with applicable law, including foreign legislation or legal sources when required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate legal information to non-legal professionals.
• Strong organizational and ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively and meet simultaneous deadlines.
• Ability to work in high-pressure environments, particularly in a multicultural and diverse setting.
• Fluency in both Icelandic and English (written and verbal), with excellent interpersonal skills.
